It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great option for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and bought a couple items of bamboo clothing.
I have to tell you I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
